World Hospital Congress delegates are responsible for securing their own visas.  The IHF and KHA strongly recommend applying as early as possible, as some visa processes may take over a month to complete.

To determine whether you require a visa to enter the Republic of Korea, please refer to the official website of the Korean immigration authorities. Entry requirements vary by country, so delegates are advised to check the latest information in advance.

If you require an invitation letter for your visa application, it will be issued after your registration fee has been fully paid. Once payment is complete, log in to your registration account, go to “My Registration”, then complete the form to download your visa invitation letter.

In the event of a visa application being denied, a full refund of the registration fee will be provided.

Entry requirements for Korea (Non-e-Visa applicants)

To ensure smooth entry into the Republic of Korea, travelers should hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry. Visa requirements vary depending on nationality, and participants are advised to confirm the latest information with the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate prior to travel.

Nationals of countries that have visa-free entry agreements with Korea may enter without a visa for short-term stays of approximately 30 to 90 days, depending on nationality. As entry policies may change, please check the most up-to-date requirements with the relevant authorities before departure.

Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

K-ETA is an online travel authorization system for nationals of visa-free entry countries entering Korea without a visa. Travelers are normally required to apply at least 72 hours prior to boarding their flight via the official website (www.k-eta.go.kr) or mobile app (K-ETA).

Please note:

• The Ministry of Justice has extended the temporary K-ETA exemption period until 31 December 2026 (KST) to support tourism.
• The countries/regions currently exempt from K-ETA are subject to this extension. Travellers will see a pop-up notification if their nationality is exempt when applying.
• Those who wish to benefit from K-ETA approval, such as not having to submit an arrival card, may still apply; in this case, the application fee will be charged.
• Travelers who already hold an approved K-ETA may continue to use it until its expiration date. The application fee is non-refundable.
