Summary of the session
Through the examples of four countries TAIWAN, PHILIPPINES, KENYA and FRANCE, we are going to explain and to illustrate what makes that these small establishments are in link narrow with the population which they serve.
 
This session will be analyzing critical factors that makes local hospitals close to the community they serve and why the community is most often very committed and supportive to their local hospitals. Is this related to situation of small town in rural dominant areas? Is this the consequence of the legal set up and operating modes? Does the size and nature of care provide play a role?…any many other dimensions will be covered during this session. The perspective from different countries having different level of wealth, coverage system and culture will also allow to measure what can be considered as universal dimension of local hospitals regardless of differences.
