Learning objectives
In this session, you will learn from world experts the difference between performance excellence and process improvement and the difference between tactics that are used to address a single issue and a true performance excellence framework (i.e. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the European Foundation for Quality Management) that drives systems thinking and the correct utilization of process tactics such as LEAN and Six Sigma.
 
 
Summary of the session
How can a hospital know the exact right time to use a LEAN process to address a hospital issue? How about Six Sigma? Do those tactics address all issues? What about Joint Commission or High Reliability processes or any of the other myriad tactics that can be used by a hospital to positively impact the hospital’s performance?
