Prof. Anne Laprie
Radiation Oncologist at Institut universitaire du cancer de Toulouse Oncopole, France
I’m dedicating my clinical, teaching and research activities to pediatric, adolescents and young adults (AYA) radiation oncology.
My research field is metabolic and molecular imaging as well as ballistics for the optimization of radiotherapy of pediatric and AYA brain tumors.
I coordinate several translational research prospective trials and studies, using large amounts of multimodal imaging, clinical and dosimetrical data and using radiomics. We work particularly on ependymoma, a frequent pediatric and adolescent brain tumor, with a 50% risk of relapse after standard treatment of surgery followed by radiotherapy. Our starting project is EPENDYMOMICS gathering clinical, histological, biological, imaging and radiotherapy data from two consecutive studies that included 370 children and adolescents with ependymoma since 2000 in 20 centers in France. Our goal is to obtain a radiogenomic signature of our data, which will be validated with the English external cohort of 200 patients that is currently being analyzed.
