Andrew N. Garman, PsyD, is a professor in the Department of Health Systems Management at Rush University in Chicago, IL, and Director of the Rush Center for Health System Leadership. For nine years he served as CEO of the non-profit National Center for Healthcare Leadership, where he helped establish a more robust evidence base for system-level leadership development as a driver for health system performance and equity. His work has been published in over one hundred research articles, book chapters, and major reports on leadership and foresight topics, as well as five books, including Healing our Future: Leadership for a Changing Health System. Garman received his PsyD in clinical psychology from the College of William & Mary, his MS in human resource development from the Illinois Institute of Technology and his BS in psychology with a mathematics concentration from Pennsylvania State University.
