Technical Officer at World Health Organization
Kira Koch is a technical officer at WHO headquarters. She currently works in the health systems governance and financing department. Her area of work focuses on health systems governance in particular on participatory governance mechanisms to support countries on their road towards universal health coverage. She has contributed to a recently launched guidance book for WHO Member States on strengthening social participation mechanisms in health systems, which aims to foster government engagement with the population, communities and civil society to improve the design, implementation and follow-up of national policy, planning and review processes.
She received her M.Sc. Degree in Health Economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany. She speaks English, French, Spanish and German.
