Biography

I’m a nurse with a Master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health and a Postgraduate in Health Promotion and Education (University of Barcelona). Since 1999, I’m working as a nurse in the International Health and Communicable Diseases Unit in Drassanes/Valle Hebron University Hospital. I’m co-author of the pedagogical guide “Catalonia® Expert Patient Program” of the Catalan Health Institute about Chagas disease chronical phase. I’m also trainer of expert patients and coordinator of patient groups and author of various educational tools for Chagas disease patients: “Saber o no saber. Me siento bien, dicen que tengo la enfermedad de Chagas ” (informative and documentary film on Chagas disease in a European context). I’m a founding member of the Friends of People Affected by Chagas Disease Association (ASAPECHA), of which I continue to be an active member
