Richard is the CEO of Yorkshire & Humber AHSN and Vice-Chair of the national AHSN Network. Yorkshire and Humber AHSN along with its 14 regional counterparts connect health systems, academia, local authorities and industry, driving spread and adoption of health innovation, economic growth and improving outcomes for patients across health and social care. Richard has worked within the health service for over 20 years and is the international lead for the AHSN Network, working closely with the Department of International Trade and Healthcare UK supporting the export of UK health excellence.
He is a member of the Healthcare UK Advisory Board and part of the Global Scientific Committee curating the International Hospital Federation’s World Hospital Congress.
Prior to joining the AHSN Richard was Head of Commercial and International Innovation at NHS England and also Managing Director of NHS Global, created to support the delivery of health care expertise to international markets.
