Head of Patient Safety & Risk Management at The Royal Hospital, Oman
I am the Head of Patient Safety & Risk Management and the Director’s Deputy in the Department of Quality & Patient Safety at the Royal Hospital; the largest tertiary hospital in Oman. My main responsibilities are ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the main four sections in the department including; Patient Safety & Risk Management, Accreditation, Patient Experience, and Service Improvement. Since we started the accreditation journey towards excellence in 2013, I was the key leader for the implementation of the Accreditation Canada International (ACI) standards. Similarly, I was actively involved in the implementation of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in the laboratory. I have a Master Degree in Quality Management from Wollongong University, Australia. I am extremely passionate about leadership and patient safety in the hospital and I had a good experience in leading several projects. I strongly believe on motivation, recognition, and spreading positive energy in the work environment.
