Dr Sawsan Abdel-Razig

Dr. Razig is a clinician educator with expertise in educational policy development, health systems regulations, and medical education. She currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Her research interests include international medical education, medical professionalism, and issues of gender equity in health. Dr. Razig co-leads the Cleveland Clinic Women in Health Online Webinar Series, a regional first, aimed at tackling issues of gender bias in health care settings. She also publishes on the role of gender on patient health outcomes and health seeking behavior in the global context. Dr. Razig received her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College, her M.D. from University of Connecticut, and completed her residency in internal medicine from New York University. Dr. Razig holds a master’s in education of health professionals from Johns Hopkins University and serves a clinical Associate Professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
