Dr Nabil Achour
Director, MSc Healthcare Management Programme at Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom
Having over 20 years’ experience in Disaster Mitigation with particular focus on hospitals. Dr Achour’s is the Director of the MSc Healthcare Management Programme at Anglia Ruskin University (UK) and Advisor to the World Health Organisation (WHO). His background is in Engineering from the Tunis Advanced School of Science and Technology (Tunisia). He was granted a Japanese Government Scholarship to further his education at Kanazawa University, he gained his MSc and PhD on hospitals’ fragility assessment to earthquake hazards. He worked as a Post-doctoral Researcher in Kanazawa (Japan) and Loughborough (UK) Universities and coordinated the research activities of the £11million HaCIRIC research centre. Awarded international awards in 2010, 2015 and 2016. Actively involved in national and international research and consultancies and made over 55 scientific publications. Member of three international journal editorial boards. He is particularly interested in exchanging knowledge with academics and practitioners, specifically those working on similar topics.
