Head of the Clinical Simulation Unit at Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children’s Hospital (SJD). Simulation facilitator accredited by Boston Children’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School (BCHSP). His areas of interest in simulation are debriefing on human factors, faculty development and simulation as a tool for analysis and design of work environments and resilience in organizations.
Consultant specialist in the Emergency Department at SJD, he has published reviews and research articles in national and international journals, and several book chapters on topics related to pediatric emergencies. He is a teaching collaborator at the University of Barcelona and the International University of Catalonia.
President of the Spanish Society of Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (SESSEP) and member of the International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS), the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM), the Spanish Society of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (SEUP) and the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES).
