Dr. Hong-Gwan Seo
President at Korean National Cancer Center, South Korea
Dr. Hong-Gwan Seo is the President of the Korean National Cancer Center and of the National Cancer Center Graduate School of Cancer Science and Policy. Dr. Seo was also the Chairman of the Kyunggi Smoking Cessation Center, National Cancer Center, Korea from 2015-2020 and was President of the Korean Association on Smoking or Health from 2010-2021. Prior to his role as President of the National Cancer Center, he was also the Director of the National Cancer Control Institute from 2011 to 2013.
In 2015, he was awarded the Order of Civil Merit, Camellia Medal from the Korean Government, and in 2003 he was given the President Award for the anti-smoking movement in Korea.
Dr. Seo holds a Ph.D in Medicine from the Seoul National University Graduate School of Medicine, Korea, M.S.in Public Health from Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Health, Korea, and M and M.D. from Seoul National University College of Medicine, Korea
