Ekaterine graduated Tbilisi State Medical University with a specialty in medicine and went on to earn a master’s degree in pharmacology. She holds a second master’s degree in business administration and graduated from Caucasus Business School and Grenoble School of Management.
Ekaterine served as General Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health and General Director of the Medalfa hospital. She has also held various positions at the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
Ekaterine has many years of experience working with international governmental and non-governmental organizations and has led various donor-funded projects in Georgia.
She is also an IHF Governing Council since November 2019.
