Dr Cynthia Omina Kanda is the Deputy Chief Medical officer at The Social Services League, MP Shah Hospital in Kenya. She possesses both clinical and operational experience, shaping healthcare facilities to align their strategy with their clinical and business goals. She provides operational leadership across the spectrum of the healthcare business, managing clinical operations, coordinating administrative roles, risk management, and quality assurance while empowering teams to pursue their goals.
She is a visionary leader who easily builds affinity with patients and staff, and manages relations and partnerships with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and partner organizations to ensure seamless program and health services delivery. In addition to her background in Medicine and Surgery, she holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a sub-specialisation in Management of Health Systems from the University of Liverpool, UK.
In addition, she is undertaking a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Strathmore Business School.
