Bernardo Ramirez, M.D., M.B.A. is the Director of Global Health Initiatives of the Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Central Florida, where he teaches International Health Systems; Quality Improvement; Leadership and Organizational Behavior; and Strategic Planning in the graduate and undergraduate programs. He has been a practicing physician and surgeon in Mexico with experience in more than 60 countries as a health services manager and consultant in public and private organizations from the hospital departmental level to health systems reform, planning, and policy. He is the author of numerous publications, training materials and presenter in many national and international forums. He has served as senior staff and member of the Board of Directors of AUPHA, and he is currently a member of the CAHME Global Advisory Council. He has served in several national and international health-related organizations, like IHF, USAID, WB, and others.
