With the background as a Radiographer and advanced to Department Manager and a Senior Radiographer in a community hospital and tertiary hospital respectively; the 20 years frontline and management experience allowed the expansion of horizon beyond the comfort zone. Apart from professional development in imaging, academic interest also extended to public and social administration as well as education.
Since taking up the role as a Senior Manager in the Department of Infection, Emergency and Contingency cum the coordinator of Head Office Major Incident Control Centre (HOMICC), the experiences in various incidents such as; Beijing Olympics (2008); H1N1 Outbreak (2009); Melamine Tainted Milk Product (MTMP) Incident (2009); Manila Hostage Incident (2010); Universiade Shenzhen (2011), Marine tragedy (2012) Lead in Drinking Water Incident ( 2016) and a severe RTA (2018), etc. was indeed unforgettable. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the coordination in HOMICC as an information hub has again been underscored.
