Dr Henry Gallardo

Dr Henry Gallardo is Director General of Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá (FSFB), Colombia.

After earning his medical degree he specialized in hospital management and in healthcare administration with an emphasis on social security systems.

Before his current role, Dr Gallardo was the Director of FSFB’s university hospital. He has also worked with Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices & Diagnostics as Health Economics and Reimbursement Director for Latin America and served as Health Director at Fundación Corona.

Dr Gallardo has served on various boards in private companies and is Vice President of the Colombian Hospital Association Board. He is also part of the editorial committee of its journal, Hospitalaria. Throughout his career, Dr Gallardo has lectured on healthcare systems at different universities and has published widely on topics related to the Colombian healthcare sector and its reform.

Dr Gallardo has been a member of the IHF Governing Council since October 2018. He was the IHF Treasurer between February 2022 and October 2023, and was elected as President-Designate in October 2023. He started his mandate as IHF President in November 2025.

Dr Marc Boom

Marc Boom has served as president and CEO of Houston Methodist since 2012. The health system includes more than 2,700 beds, 35,000 employees, an academic medical center, a leading research institute, seven community hospitals, a continuing care hospital, two physician organizations, and more than 50 graduate medical education programs. Its flagship, Houston Methodist Hospital, has been named a U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospital nine times and ranked the No. 1 hospital in Texas for 14 consecutive years.

Houston Methodist is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Texas A&M University, and Rice University.

Dr. Boom earned degrees from The University of Texas at Austin, Baylor College of Medicine, and The Wharton School. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he became a national leader in vaccine advocacy and led the first U.S. hospital system to require vaccines for employees and physicians.

Mr David Entwistle

David Entwistle is President and CEO of Stanford Health Care (SHC). A recognized thought leader on AI and digital health innovation, hospital quality improvement, and sustainability in health care, David has more than two decades of experience leading top academic health systems. Since joining Stanford Health Care in 2016, he has driven major growth and transformation, strengthening SHC’s reputation as a leader in patient care, innovation, and community impact. Under his leadership, SHC has continued to achieve recognition for quality, safety, and excellence from Vizient, the Leapfrog Group, U.S. News & World Report, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The health system has also been recognized for health information technology innovation from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and for nursing excellence through the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet program. David serves on the boards of Vizient and Redesign Health; and he is a past board member of the American Hospital Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges Council of Teaching Hospitals and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Her Excellency Mubaraka Ibrahim, CIO & Chief AI Officer of Emirates Health Services has over 30 years of experience in IT driving digital transformation and AI across government entities. She has forged a bold vision for AI in government healthcare – creating a harmonized enterprise foundation that integrates innovation, ethics, scalability, and impact across the emirates.

Under her leadership, EHS has launched network-scale AI governance, widely deployed predictive models and enterprise AI platform and piloted latest technology in hospitals like AI agents, Digital twin etc.

Under her leadership Emirates Health Services has demonstrated how AI can deliver measurable, system-wide transformation across clinical, operational, and public health domains.

HE Mubaraka has led AI governance initiatives, developing the first responsible AI framework for government health entities. She has supporting UAE’s vision of building AI ready workforce by launching more than 10 AI training programs, which are developing AI capabilities at all levels. She launched ‘Masar Al Thakaa’ initiative, which has trained 6700+ government employees in AI skills. She led the development and launch of the Safe AI policy, which ensures that any AI systems implemented in EHS follow a strong governance framework to ensure safety.

Mr Irfan Khan

Irfan Khan a healthcare leader with more than 25 years of experience shaping high-performance health systems across South Asia and Africa. Mr Robert Mardini

Since 1 September 2024, Robert Mardini has been serving as CEO of the Geneva University Hospital (HUG), Switzerland’s largest university hospital. A leading institution in healthcare, research, and education, HUG employs more than 13,000 staff and operates with an annual budget of CHF 2.5 billion. In this role, Robert Mardini steers the institution’s strategic direction, working closely with the Board of Directors, political authorities, and key partners within the healthcare system.

Prior to this appointment, he led the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from 2020 to 2024, overseeing humanitarian operations in more than 100 countries and managing a workforce of 20,000.

A graduate in civil and hydraulic engineering from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), he joined the ICRC in 1997 as an engineer and held several senior leadership positions, including Deputy Director General, Regional Director for the Near and Middle East, and Head of Delegation to the United Nations.

He has received several distinctions, including the EPFL Alumni Award in 2020, and was elected to the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW) in 2021. He is also a member of the Geneva Diplomatic Club, the EPFL Strategic Advisory Board, and serves as Executive in Residence at IMD.

Prof. Dr Henriette Neumeyer

Prof. Neumeyer MD, MBA is the Vice-Chair of the Board of the German Hospital Federation and President of the European Hospital and Healthcare Federation (HOPE). She leads the German Hospital Federation’s Department of Political Affairs and Hospital Workforce.

Following her medical studies and a subsequent MBA, she worked as a consultant—primarily in the fields of medical technology and IT development—and holds professorship for Healthcare Management at a University of Applied Sciences.

Dr Paul Quitiquit

Dr. Paul Adlai B. Quitiquit, MD, FPCS, FACS, FPSGS, MHA is a distinguished surgeon, professor, and hospital executive with over three decades of experience in clinical practice, academic teaching, and healthcare leadership. A Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons, the Philippine Society of General Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons, he has combined surgical excellence with values‑driven governance to advance patient care, education, and sustainability.

Currently serving as Medical Center Chief of Saint Louis University – Sacred Heart Medical Center (SLU‑SHMC), he spearheaded a transformation that positioned the institution as a benchmark for innovation and sustainability. He commissioned a new medical center with world‑class technology, introduced electronic medical records, and launched ESG programs such as the Water is Life Project, solar energy installation, and green space development—achieving a significant reduction of CO₂ emmissions annually.
Under his leadership, SLU‑SHMC earned national and international recognition, including the PHAPI Safe Hospital Grand Champion, the International Hospital Federation Gold Award for Social and Environmental Sustainability, and Department of Tourism accreditation as a Green Hospital for Wellness. Guided by the hospital’s TRULY CARES values, Dr. Quitiquit continues to champion patient‑centered care, academic excellence, and environmental stewardship, inspiring healthcare leaders locally and globally.

Mr Simon Radmore

Simon is an experienced leader in the Australian public health system. Beginning his career as Occupational Therapist, Simon completed a Master of Health Service Management and transitioned to roles in project management and operational management.

In his current role as Executive Director of Strategy & Office of the Chief Executive in the Northern Sydney Local Health District, Simon is responsible for strategic leadership across a broad range of focus areas, including innovation, research, education, partnerships, integration, leadership development, Innovation Precinct development, corporate governance and value-based healthcare.

In 2025 Simon completed a Deeble Scholarship through the Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association (AHHA) and was an International Hospital Federation (IHF) Young Executive Leader (YEL) program participant. Simon is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Population Health at the University of NSW (UNSW), an Associate Fellow, Australasian College of Health Service Management (AFCHSM), and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Mr Payman Roshan

Payman Roshan is the Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente Orange County, overseeing two Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and more than 20 medical office buildings serving nearly 600,000 members across Orange County, California. In this role, he leads hospital and ambulatory operations, strategic growth, workforce engagement, financial performance, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Payman joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005 as Regional Director of Clinical Technology, leading the management and maintenance of medical equipment throughout Southern California. In 2010, he became Assistant Medical Center Administrator for Support Services at Baldwin Park Medical Center and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2012. He later served as Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Panorama City and Antelope Valley Medical Centers, followed by Downey Medical Center, before assuming leadership of Orange County in 2022.

A passionate advocate for innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, Payman is committed to advancing healthcare delivery through technology, collaboration, and high-performing teams.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Mercer University, an MBA from National University, and completed Kaiser Permanente’s Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University.

Outside of work, Payman enjoys spending time with his wife, Afsaneh, and son, Nicholas.

Ms Sara Siegel

Sara is Deloitte’s Global Health Sector Leader and leads the health practice in the UK. This encapsulates the firm’s work with the payor and provider systems both publicly and privately funded.  Sara’s passion for health began when she moved to the UK in 2003 and was first exposed to the NHS.

Sara believes passionately in the mission of the NHS and sees the incredible value that a health service free at the point of need provides to society.  With her teams, she supports the NHS to do more and better with the resources at its disposal.  Some of Sara’s work includes supporting the government on its Coronavirus testing programme, and the introduction of robotic and cognitive automation to improve the speed and quality of NHS services and to release more time for direct patient care. It is the introduction and uptake of new innovative practices either pioneered by individuals or tested first in other health systems around the world that Sara most enjoys working with her NHS clients on.

In her global role, Sara is growing the firm’s presence in implementation of Electronic Health Records, and increasing the presence of AI and Generative AI in the firm’s work. She is also focused on health equity and sustainability and climate.

Sara is a trustee of the Peter Sowerby Foundation which supports healthcare causes and she is a trustee of the Conservation Collective, an environmental charity that promotes local teams working to solve environmental problems.

Adj. Prof. Kong Choong Tang

Adj. Prof Tang is the CEO of TTSH – the flagship hospital of NHG Health. With more than 2000 beds on HealthCity Novena Campus, TTSH serves the tertiary healthcare needs of 1.5 million residents in Central-North, Singapore as part of the regional health system helmed by NHG Health.

As CEO, Adj. Prof Tang drives the hospital’s long term plan (TTSH 2030) to achieve excellence in Tertiary Care and Academic Health, enabled through digital and workforce transformation and also redevelopment of the campus, as part of Phase 2 of the HealthCity Novena Masterplan.

Adj. Prof Tang also brings with him a wealth of experience managing people and systems, from his career in the Singapore Armed Forces where he last served as a Brigadier General, holding the appointment of Chief of Medical Corps from 2015-2019.

Dr Karan Thakur

Dr Karan Thakur is the Group Vice President – Corporate Affairs & Sustainability for the Apollo Hospitals Group. He manages the Group’s external engagements including government and industry liaison along with the Healthcare Sustainability & ESG divisions.

He is a seasoned healthcare administrator with two decades of experience in the field of health policy, hospital operations, projects, health communications and healthcare sustainability & ESG.

He is an alumnus of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and National Law University, New Delhi. He was the 2022 Global Fellow from India for the Eisenhower Fellowships. In 2024 he was awarded the prestigious Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence at the University of Oxford in the UK.

Dr Thakur authored the Handbook of Healthcare Sustainability and ESG, the first of kind book for practitioners and administrators on sustainability and climate and health. In April 2026, he released his second book, The Connected Clinician, which explores how clinicians can harness the power of the digital world to enhance their professional growth.

Dr Mary Chrislyn Abadilla

A distinguished professional, Dr. Abadilla excels both in the medical and public service arenas. With a robust background in Anesthesiology, including a Specialty Residency in Anesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, Critical Care, and Pain Management completed from 2016 to 2019, brings a wealth of expertise to the healthcare field. Transitioning seamlessly into public service, Served as the Municipal Vice Mayor of LGU Banna from 2016 to 2022 and has been the Municipal Mayor since 2022. Key achievements include spearheading the Banna S.H.I.E.L.D program, successfully meeting the World Health Organization’s target of 90% HPV vaccination coverage for girls under 15 years old well before the global 2030 target. Additionally, Dr. Abadilla has championed the preservation of cultural heritage through Inabel Weaving Training for Banna’s youth. As the first Mayor to forge a partnership with the National Government and Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Abadilla established the pioneering BUCAS Center, ensuring Banna leads in providing quality and inclusive healthcare in the province.

Dr Sally Abdel Raof

Established a comprehensive monitoring system that improved financial performance and operational efficiency. Dr Shaimaa Abdelaal

Dr. Shaimaa Abdelaal is an accomplished healthcare executive with over 18 years of progressive experience leading health systems transformation, patient experience (PX), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and quality management (ISO 9001) across Egypt’s national health reform initiatives. Currently serving as a manager and lead expert within the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) under the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) system, she has pioneered the design and operationalization of national patient satisfaction and performance framework measurement systems. Throughout her distinguished career, which includes prominent senior roles at the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP), Dr. Abdelaal has successfully directed large-scale, donor-funded healthcare projects backed by the World Bank, USAID, and AFD. Her strategic oversight has driven critical national performance metrics, including maintaining a 91% patient satisfaction index, executing highly efficient grievance resolution systems, and significantly optimizing cross-facility clinical referral chains through digital health innovation. Holding an MBA, an M.Sc. in Health Economics, and multiple international expert certifications, she is widely recognized as a senior national healthcare trainer who has built organizational capacity for thousands of multidisciplinary professionals across Egypt’s transforming healthcare landscape.

Dr Moustafa Abdelwahab

Dr. Moustafa is a healthcare quality and performance leader with extensive experience in driving system-level improvement initiatives across the UAE and internationally. In his current role at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, he leads key strategic programs including Jawda Automation, Pay-for-Quality models, Hospital Rating Methodology, and Patient Safety Strategy, contributing to enhanced transparency, accountability, and outcomes across the healthcare system.

He has a proven track record in advancing clinical quality and patient safety, having led and supported initiatives across major institutions such as King Faisal Medical Complex, King Abdulaziz Specialty Hospital, Taif University, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Rahba Hospital, and Corniche Hospital.

Dr. Moustafa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental and Oral Surgery and further qualifications including a Fellowship in Family Dentistry, a Diploma in Public Health and Hospital Administration, and a Master’s in Healthcare Quality Management from Alexandria University. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Fellowship in Boston.

He holds a Master’s degree in Logistics and Transportation Management and has built his career around driving operational efficiency, optimizing costs, and strengthening supply chain performance.

Abiodun is passionate about building resilient, data-driven, and patient-centred supply chains that directly support clinical teams. Through initiatives such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and digital integration, he focuses on ensuring that caregivers have timely access to the resources they need to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Dr Weam Ahmed

A Family Medicine physician. possessing extensive experience in healthcare quality management, clinical excellence, and healthcare accreditation.

Held several leadership positions in quality management, serving as Quality Manager for multiple Primary Healthcare Centers, followed by Quality Manager at Huraymila General Hospital, and subsequently Assistant Hospital Director for Clinical Excellence.

Currently serves as a member of the Policy Review Team and the Accreditation Experts Committee at Riyadh Third Health Cluster, contributing to the development of healthcare policies, quality standards, and accreditation initiatives.

Currently serving as Supervisor of Security Forces Hospital Program with Affiliated Centers and Clinics of the Eastern and Northern Health Cluster, he leads large-scale initiatives aligned with Vision 2030, focusing on value-based care, network optimization, and system-wide performance improvement.
Dr AlAhmari has held multiple C-suite roles, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of major healthcare networks, where he successfully drove accreditation transformation to 100%, expanded service capacity, and significantly enhanced operational efficiency, patient outcomes, and financial performance. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing accountable care models, digital health integration, and population health strategies.

An Associate Professor of Respiratory Therapy and an internationally recognized fellow of leading medical societies, he has contributed extensively to academic research, with over 70 publications. He also serves on multiple national and international boards and advisory committees, shaping healthcare policy, governance, and professional standards.

Dr Alhussein Alamin

Dr. Alhussein Abdelwahab Saad Alamin is an accomplished physician with more than 13 years of extensive experience in emergency and internal medicine. He is an ER resident doctor at Adhum General Hospital, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, and director of clinical audit administration, Saudi Arabia.Dr. Alamin is licensed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and has completed MRCPI Parts 1 and 2. He has strong clinical expertise with all ages of patients, with a dedicated focus on healthcare quality. He is certified in Lean Six Sigma (White and Yellow Belts) and has expertise in clinical audit protocols, KPI analysis, and healthcare improvement initiatives. Dr. Alamin is a fluent speaker of Arabic and English and holds an MBBS from Nile Valley University. His professional career has been defined by a commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care and leading healthcare staff to achieve ongoing clinical excellence.

Dr Moza A Latif Hassan Abdulla Alishaq

Dr. Moza A. Al Ishaq is Deputy Chief Quality Officer at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), where she leads quality, patient safety, and clinical transformation across Qatar’s national healthcare system. With more than two decades in healthcare, she has become one of the region’s foremost voices on risk management and patient safety.

As the first Qatari national to build and lead risk management and patient-safety programs at HMC, Dr. Al Ishaq has spent her career turning ideas into lasting systems. She established Qatar’s first “Risk Management Week,” co-founded the Qatar Summit for Healthcare Risk Management in partnership with ASHRM, and shaped HMC’s Enterprise Risk Management and Clinical Governance frameworks. Through the Quality Management Education Program, she has trained more than 1,000 healthcare leaders. She recently published her book, Transforming Healthcare: A Practical Guide to Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.

She holds a PhD in Patient Safety and Human Errors from Indiana University–Purdue University, along with a nursing degree from Qatar University.

Dr Ammar Albanna

Dr. Ammar Humaid Albanna, MD, FRCPC, IFAPA is the Director of Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital, Emirates Health Services, the UAE’s largest government tertiary psychiatric hospital. A Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, he leads the hospital’s strategic transformation through innovation, digital health, academic partnerships, and integrated community mental healthcare, while advancing quality, research, and value-based care.

Dr. Albanna completed his psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at McGill University, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychiatry at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and holds a Master’s in Healthcare Leadership from McGill University.

She has extensive expertise in infection prevention and control (IPC), patient safety, healthcare quality, and risk management, with a strong track record of leading quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and healthcare safety.

She serves as the department’s Risk Management Focal Point and is a certified assessor for the World Health Organization (WHO) Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Framework (PSFHF). He innovated an efficiency bundle of clinical interventions to autonomously & effortlessly achieve best standards of patient’s flow, bed capacity & operation. She led the implementation of the WHO Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Framework (PSFHF) and drives high-impact patient safety initiatives that strengthen institutional resilience and risk culture. Ms Sarip Emalie Ampatuan

I am Sarip Emalie B. Ampatuan, a Registered Nurse with 22 years of dedicated service at CRMC. I currently serve as Nurse V, leading the Critical Care Unit and Health Emergency Disaster and Management Unit, where I oversee emergency preparedness, disaster response, and critical care operations.

Since 2012, I have been actively involved in disaster and humanitarian response both nationally and internationally. These include the January 2012 landslide in Compostela Valley Province, the 2019 Davao Del Sur Earthquake, the COVID-19 Pandemic, where I served as the Patient Navigation and Referral Focal Person, the Typhoon Odette response in Siargao Island, and the 2025 Myanmar earthquake as part of the Philippine Contingent Humanitarian Team, and the recent Mindanao earthquake that struck Sarangani Province, bringing the PEMAT Type II Central Mindanao.

I also serve as the Assistant DRRM-H Manager and as one of the Core Persons in the ongoing establishment of the PEMAT Type II Central Mindanao, contributing to the development of a highly capable emergency medical team that meets national and WHO Standards.As a National Trainer in BLS, EMT-B, and Standard First Aid, I am committed to developing competent healthcare professionals and emergency responders through quality education and skills training.

Dr. Novitri Anggraeni is a general practitioner and the Manager of Quality at RS PELNI. Her main responsibilities include managing day-to-day clinical quality indicators, handling patient safety reports, and preparing the hospital for national accreditation standards. She also supports the team in implementing continuous improvement tools like Kaizen and PDSA to improve hospital services.

Mr Jonathan Apolinario

Jonathan Apolinario is a critical care nurse leader with over 23 years of experience across a wide range of intensive care units. For the past four and a half years, he has served as Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cardiac ICU and Cardiac-Surgical ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, leading high-performing teams caring for complex cardiac and post-surgical patients.

Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in managing critically ill patients while advancing into leadership roles focused on staff development, retention, and quality improvement. Marty Ardron, MBA, FACHE, is Senior Vice President of Hospital System Operations at Kaiser Permanente, where he leads performance, reliability, continuous improvement, and standardization across Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. Sophie Beaupère, a hospital director by training, graduated from the École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (EHESP), Sciences Po Paris, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Management from Paris Dauphine University. Since January 2020, she has served as the General Delegate of Unicancer, the French National Federation of Comprehensive Cancer Centers (CLCCs). Dr Daniel Beltrammi

Public Health Physician, PhD in Life Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo – UNIFESP, Master’s degree in Health Technology and Innovation Management from the Syrian-Lebanese Institute for Teaching and Research. Mr José Bento

José Bento e Silva is the Chief Executive Officer of Ribera Portugal and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospital de Cascais, one of Portugal’s leading public hospitals. With over two decades of experience in healthcare management, he has held senior leadership positions across hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations in both the public and private sectors.

His executive career includes leadership roles at Escala Braga, responsible for managing Braga Hospital under a public-private partnership model, and at Lusíadas Saúde, one of Portugal’s largest private healthcare groups, where he served as a Board Director from 2014 to 2022. Mrs Jenny Berggen

Jenny Berggren is a Certified Teacher working as a Play Therapist, and Section Manager at the Play Therapy & Library Unit at Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. With a background in education and extensive experience in pediatric healthcare, she works to promote children’s participation, understanding, and well-being during hospital stays. The play therapy provides meaningful activities for children and families at the hospital as well as supporting childrens understandig of the hospital stay.

Jenny has participated in the development of several innovative, child-centered approaches, including the “Participation Book,” a pedagogical tool designed to help children cope with medical procedures and reduce anxiety. Valentina Bugani is Head of Corporate Training and Professional Competency Development at IRCCS Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori (IRST) “Dino Amadori”, one of Italy’s leading comprehensive cancer centres.

She holds a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences from the University of Bologna, where her research focused on the development and evaluation of the Integrated System of Competencies, an innovative organisational model designed to support workforce development, professional growth and strategic alignment in healthcare organisations.

Gabrielle Bunney, MD, MBA, MS is an Assistant Professor in the department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University. She has worked on projects spanning the whole life cycle in AI for clinical use, from model design and building, to model optimization, and finally the technical and clinical translation of AI for use in patient care. She received her Master’s degree from Stanford University’s Department of Biomedical Data Science, where she gained data science the technical experience to apply to her clinical knowledge. Timothy Hudson David Culasino Carandang, MD is a physician from the Philippines with expertise in clinical epidemiology, medical statistics, and health systems research. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Epidemiology (Clinical Epidemiology) at the University of the Philippines Manila and serves as a research specialist at Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, where he provides methodological and statistical support to healthcare professionals in designing, conducting, and publishing clinical and health systems research.

As an evidence review expert, he has contributed to several national clinical practice guidelines in the Philippines. Mr Bryan Croft

In January 2023, she presented her graduate research at the 6th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference in Davao City, Philippines. Dr Jessa Mae De Guzman

Dr. Jessa Mae R. De Guzman is a public health and occupational health physician, policy advocate, and health systems leader currently serving as Medical Specialist III and Head of the Public Health Unit at Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Ilocos Norte. A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and holder of a Master in Public Management Major in Health Systems Development from the Development Academy of the Philippines, she combines clinical expertise with public health and health systems management.

From 2017 to 2019, she served under the Doctor to the Barrios Program, delivering essential healthcare services in an island municipality while conducting public health research. In 2019, she joined the Department of Health Central Office, where she led the COVID-19 Laboratory Network Project Management Unit, contributing significantly to the country’s pandemic response.

Dr. De Guzman is passionate about health systems strengthening, disease prevention, healthcare equity, and community-based care. Rachel de Sain is an internationally recognised digital strategist and thought leader specializing in the future of sustainable health and social care delivery. With over 20 years of global experience, Rachel has collaborated with governments, Fortune 500 companies, and leading academic institutions, driving impactful design-led innovation and system thinking. She champions thoughtful governance and implementation, emphasizing the crucial balance between People, Planet, and Prosperity.

Currently, as Director of Sustainability Measurement and Impact at Healthdirect, Rachel supports climate reporting obligations and develops innovative models for measuring the broader sustainability impacts of virtual health services.

Rachel’s research outputs include conducting the first full calculation of Australia’s health and aged care systems’ greenhouse gas emissions. She has furthered this expertise by developing a framework for measuring virtual health service emissions and presented research on telehealth emissions measurement and environmental impacts of AI in digital healthcare.

While actively working, Rachel is also pursuing a PhD focused on developing a benefits and evaluation framework to equip health decision-makers to understand the economic, environmental, and social impacts of transitioning to virtual services. Prof. Sónia Dias

Sónia Dias is Dean and Full Professor at the NOVA National School of Public Health, Lisbon, Portugal. She has years of experience in the field of public health and sociobehavioural sciences, especially in the study of health needs as well as design, implementation, and evaluation of health-promoting interventions. Her work seeks to produce evidence for innovative policies and action strategies that address complex public health issues to improve populations’ health. She has been very much involved in the Social Prescribing (SP) movement in Portugal from its beginning, as coordinator of the Knowledge Centre on Social Prescribing and Social Prescribing Portugal Network. At the international level, she is Co-chair of the International Social Prescribing Collaborative.

Mrs Toseef Din

Dr. Toseef Din is a distinguished healthcare leader with 24 years of experience, including 14 years shaping Kenya’s private health sector. As CEO of M.P. Shah Hospital, she is recognised for compassionate leadership, calm presence in complex environments, and commitment to sustainable, patient-centred systems. To drive administrative excellence, he also holds an MBA in Hospital and Health Care System Management from BITS -PILANI.

Dr. Anish specializes in neonatal transport and neonatal surgical management, while simultaneously overseeing vital institutional operations, healthcare charity funding, and clinical quality initiatives. Dr Veronica Duarte

Dr. Verónica Duarte is a Consultant Nephrologist at Fundació Sanitària Mollet, with extensive expertise in peritoneal dialysis and home-based kidney replacement therapies. As the clinical lead for the home dialysis programme, she has played a pivotal role in developing and consolidating a patient-centred model of care that promotes autonomy, quality of life, and clinical excellence. Her leadership has contributed to positioning Fundació Sanitària Mollet as one of Spain’s leading healthcare organisations in the field of home dialysis. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Duarte is strongly committed to environmental sustainability and the transformation of healthcare systems. She has actively contributed to the organisation’s sustainability strategy as an Environmental Ambassador and currently serves as the physician lead for Planetary Health. In this role, she promotes the integration of planetary health principles into clinical practice and organisational decision-making, reinforcing the belief that high-quality patient care and environmental responsibility are complementary goals for the future of healthcare.

Mr Mikael Edsbagge

Mikael Edsbagge is a Senior Consultant Neurologist, Deputy Head of Department of Neuromedical Care, and Digital Transformation Strategist at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. In addition, contributions are made to digital transformation initiatives across Region Västra Götaland, the public healthcare provider of western Sweden.

Areas of focus include digital health, patient empowerment, AI-supported healthcare, and innovation-driven service transformation. By combining clinical practice, healthcare leadership, and strategic digital development, work is conducted at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, and digital transformation, with a particular emphasis on implementing digitally enabled and scalable models of care that improve efficiency and patient-centered healthcare delivery.

Dr Florian Eisold

Dr. Florian Eisold is a physician and health economist with an LL.M. in Medical Law, working at the intersection of clinical care, hospital management and digital transformation. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Medical Controlling at the German Armed Forces Central Hospital Koblenz, where his responsibilities include hospital financing, regulatory compliance and reimbursement negotiations.

Alongside his professional role, he is pursuing a PhD in Medical Science at Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg. His research examines how health information systems affect clinical workflows, information and system quality, user satisfaction, interprofessional collaboration and workload.

As part of his doctoral research at LMU Munich, conducted at LMU University Hospital, he developed the Impact Monitor for Health Information Systems (IMHIS), a mixed-methods framework for evaluating the real-world effects of digital systems from the perspective of medical professionals. His book, Digital Systems – Real Impact: What Hospital Staff Really Need, was published by Springer Gabler in 2025. His work aims to make digital transformation measurable and actionable, so that digital systems genuinely improve the daily work of medical professionals and ultimately benefit patients.

Dr Neveen El-Farra

Neveen El-Farra, is Professor of Clinical Medicine, Vice Chair for Inpatient Medicine Services, and Section Chief for Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is a physician leader and educator focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, healthcare quality, and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Dr. El-Farra completed her internship, residency, and chief residency at UCLA. She previously served as Associate Program Director for the UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program and Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs at the David Geffen School of Medicine.
In her current leadership roles, Dr. El-Farra works closely with health system leadership, clinical departments, and divisions across the Department of Medicine to advance excellence in inpatient care delivery. Mrs Ana Gama

Ana Gama is Reseacher at the NOVA National School of Public Health and member of the Comprehensive Health Research Center. She has a PhD in International Health and MsD in Community Psychology. Ana has been working as researcher in several national and international projects combining quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate health and socio-behavioural determinants, with a focus on vulnerable populations, and support the design, implementation and evaluation of health promoting interventions. Her main fields of research include health promotion, health literacy, access and use of health services for diagnosis and care. Her areas of interest also include community-based participatory approaches, implementation science, complex health interventions and evaluation research.

Martha George, APRN, MSN, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and founding provider of Mayo Clinic Florida’s Care Transitions Clinic. Since 2021, she has led the development and implementation of innovative transitional care and observation medicine models focused on reducing 30-day readmissions, improving care coordination, and decreasing avoidable emergency department utilization.

As Lead APP for both the Care Transitions Clinic and Care Transitions Unit, Martha oversees APP-driven programs dedicated to observation-level care, post-hospital transitional management, and hospital throughput optimization across inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr Tarang Gianchandani

A clinician-turned-strategist, Dr. Tarang Gianchandani blends 25+ years of global experience with a bold vision for the future of healthcare. An alumna of Lady Hardinge Medical College and the National University of Singapore, she trained in Orthopaedics before moving into hospital leadership across Singapore and India.

Her journey spans strategic roles with Singapore’s Ministry of Health, Changi General Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, and leadership of large tertiary care hospitals in India. Today, as CEO of Reliance Foundation Hospital, she leads one of India’s most advanced quaternary care institutions.

Mr Jian Wei Goh

Jian Wei Goh is a Manager in Technology, Strategic Planning & Integration at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and a registered pharmacist by training. Across the past seven years, his focus has shifted steadily toward digital transformation, spanning robotic process automation, AI literacy, and helping frontline healthcare teams adopt practical technology. He has led and supported innovation efforts ranging from machine learning for medication safety to hackathons that encourage healthcare workers to build and problem-solve, and remains an active educator and mentor within the profession.

Sustainability has long sat in the background of that work. Building with AI and data tools kept the energy and environmental footprint behind them close to mind, and turned into an ongoing curiosity about the concrete, measurable ways healthcare can do better. It’s a budding interest he’s keen to explore further, including through projects like the recyclable pharmacy packaging initiative, where small, deliberate design changes translate into real environmental and operational gains.

He is currently pursuing a Master of IT in Business at Singapore Management University, where his coursework spans digital technology and sustainability.

Ms Angels Gonzalez

Àngels González García is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project Manager and Specialist at Hospital Clínic Barcelona, with more than 15 years of experience in sustainability, social responsibility and stakeholder engagement across the healthcare and consulting sectors.

She leads and coordinates initiatives that integrate sustainability, social commitment and patient-centred care into the hospital’s strategic framework, including projects aligned with the UN Global Compact, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Hospital Clínic Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy.

Her work combines sustainability, social innovation and community engagement. She actively contributes to the Amics del Clínic Volunteer Programme, promoting the role of volunteers as key partners in enhancing patient experience. She also participates in initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening citizen participation in healthcare.

Àngels is also involved in the Hospital Clínic Arts in Health Programme, which uses arts and culture as tools to improve wellbeing, humanise care environments and foster meaningful connections between patients, professionals and the community. In addition, she represents the hospital in sector-wide sustainability and CSR networks and regularly contributes to conferences and knowledge-sharing activities on sustainability and social responsibility.

Dr Alexandre González-Rodríguez

Dr Alexandre González-Rodríguez obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Barcelona (2002–2008) and completed his Psychiatry residency at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona (2009–2013). He later earned a PhD in Medicine and Translational Research at the University of Barcelona, focusing on schizophrenia research (2014–2018).

Over the past 14 years, his research and teaching activities have centered on gender differences in mental disorders. Initially, his work focused on reproductive mental health, including a research project on postpartum depression that examined clinical trajectories and risk factors for recurrence. His interests subsequently expanded to later life stages, including menopause and postmenopause in women.

As a member of the Women’s Mental Health Working and Research Group of the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health, Dr González-Rodríguez has contributed to studies on therapeutic interventions and health promotion. His research has explored the Estrogen Protection Hypothesis in schizophrenia and the impact of hormonal factors on women’s mental health, culminating in his doctoral project on biomarkers of pharmacological response in postmenopausal women with schizophrenia.

Through international collaborations with institutions in Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, France, and Spain, he has co-authored numerous scientific publications and presentations. In January 2023, he co-founded the Functional Unit for Women with Schizophrenia.

Dr Ruiling Guo

Dr. Ruiling Guo is a Professor of Healthcare Administration in the College of Business at Idaho State University in the United States, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in healthcare administration. She earned her Doctor of Health Administration degree from Central Michigan University and brings more than 40 years of combined professional and academic experience in healthcare management and health administration education. Dr. Guo has received multiple research grants and distinguished honors, including a prestigious Fulbright Specialist Award. She has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals and contributed numerous book chapters in the fields of healthcare administration and health information science, with her scholarly work reaching both national and international audiences.

Mr Hamzah Hafiq

Hamzah Hafiq, MD is a Senior Orthopaedic Surgery Resident at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Before entering residency training, he served as a general practitioner in remote areas of Indonesia, where he managed a wide range of clinical conditions and gained experience working in resource-limited healthcare settings. His clinical interests include trauma, wound management, and reconstructive orthopaedic surgery. Alongside his clinical training, he has been involved in research focused on improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery, particularly in developing countries. His current work focuses on the Reverse Aqua Pump–VAC, an affordable innovation for wound care management in resource-limited settings. Through clinical practice and research, he is interested in practical innovations that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Ms Peachy Hain

Peachy Hain, MSN, RN, FACHE, has served as Executive Director of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Services at Cedars-Sinai since 2008. She oversees Surgical Services Units and Clinical Support programs, including Dialysis, inpatient Diabetes, Safe Patient Handling and Mobility, Wound Care and Ostomy, and Hospice, with responsibility for more than 600 employees and over 350 inpatient beds.

With more than 47 years of healthcare experience, Peachy is a recognized industry expert who leads numerous committees focused on improving patient experience, quality, safety, and length of stay. She has led safety efforts to prevent patient falls and reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries, infection rates, and specimen mislabeling. To strengthen interdisciplinary teamwork, she helped develop a physician-nursing collaborative and instituted Progression of Care Rounds, driving significant gains in staff engagement and clinician satisfaction.

Before joining IHH, Elizabeth was an investor at a US healthcare venture capital firm, where she backed digital health and healthcare services companies such as telehealth, primary care, and behavioural health. Passionate about tackling challenges in access to and quality of care, she has advised companies in the US and Asia.

Elizabeth holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.

Dr Dini Handayani

Dr. Dini Handayani, MARS, FISQua, FIPC is a healthcare executive with over two decades of experience in hospital leadership, healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance. She currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Mayapada Healthcare Group, leading initiatives in clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and the implementation of international healthcare standards.

Dr. Dini graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia and earned her Master of Hospital Administration from Universitas Indonesia. She is a Fellow of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (FISQua) and a Fellow of the Institute of Palliative Medicine (FIPC) through an international fellowship program in collaboration with St Christopher’s Hospice, United Kingdom.

She has held key leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Medistra Hospital and Quality Assurance Director of Awal Bros Hospital Group. She is also an International Surveyor for Joint Commission International (JCI) and a member of the National Patient Safety Committee of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, actively contributing to healthcare quality and patient safety advancement.

Ms Judith Hargreaves

Judith joined Convatec in August 2025, bringing 30 years’ experience within the Medical Device Industry, working with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, 3M and Molnlycke Healthcare. Judith has a background in nursing, where she specialised in caring for patients with long-term conditions including wound care and she holds qualifications in tissue viability.

Over the last 20 years, Judith has gained experience create practical health economic tools as well as complex cost-effective models to support Global reimbursement applications. She has also developed Government Affairs campaigns, creating manifesto and positioning papers to support lobbying activities in EU and USA.

Judith has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, most recently on Healthcare Staff Wellbeing as part of building Sustainable Healthcare Systems and is passionate about protecting both healthcare provision and the planet for future generations.

Judith also has an MBA and Black Belt Six Sigma qualification, and for several years she acted as an external advisor for NICE NHS Evidence, providing advice on continuous improvement projects. She is also a member of several Global Health Economics, Government Affairs and Market Access platforms.

Prof. Whiejong Han

Professor Whiejong Han is a Chair of Department of Global Health and Disease Control at the Graduate School of Public Health, Yonsei University, Korea. He also serves as the Director of the Center for International Development at Yonsei University Health System. His academic and professional expertise spans healthcare management, health systems strengthening, global health security and international development cooperation.

Professor Han earned his academic training in Healthcare Administration (Ph.D.) and Economics (M.A.), and has devoted his career to advancing health system performance, healthcare leadership, and capacity building in both Korea and developing countries. He is actively involved in educating future global health professionals and promoting international cooperation to address emerging public health challenges. With his expertise, he has led numerous international health projects funded by governments and development partners, particularly in the areas of health workforce development and health system enhancement.

As an educator, researcher, and consultant, he has worked extensively with healthcare institutions, government agencies, and international organizations to promote effective healthcare management and sustainable health development. Through his professional activities, Professor Han has contributed significantly to advancing global health education and strengthening healthcare system worldwide.

Mr John Haupert

John Haupert is President and CEO of Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA USA. Haupert began his tenure at Grady in October 2011. Grady Health System is the safety net healthcare system serving Fulton and DeKalb Counties in Georgia. Grady is the primary Level I trauma center and burn center for the Atlanta metropolitan area. In addition, Grady is home to many nationally recognized clinical services including the Marcus Neuroscience and Stroke Center, the Correll Cardiac Center, the Georgia Cancer Center for Excellence, Hughes-Spalding Children’s Hospital and Grady EMS. Grady also serves as the primary training site for the Morehouse and Emory Schools of Medicine.

Haupert is a board-certified Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and recipient of the ACHE Gold Medal. The Gold Medal Award is the highest honor bestowed by the American College of Healthcare Executives on outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to the healthcare profession.

John is a former Chair of the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees as well as America’s Essential Hospitals and the Georgia Hospital Association. John became the ninth Georgia hospital leader since 1978 to receive the Georgia Hospital Association Gold Honor Award.

Mr Joseph Hazel

Joseph Hazel is a distinguished leader in the healthcare industry with over 30 years of C-suite experience across Africa, Europe, the UK, and the Middle East. In February 2023, he joined Apex Health to spearhead the development of an integrated, collaborative private healthcare group portfolio, focusing on the MENA region. Under his leadership, Apex Health has transformed from a leading private 260-bed hospital in Qatar in 2022 to now operating 8 hospitals across 4 countries. Joseph’s strategic acumen is driving unparalleled growth and innovation, and most recently has been appointed as member of the Advisory Board for the Arab Hospitals Federation. Prior to this, Joseph spent 7 years at Mediclinic Middle East as the COO for Abu Dhabi, where he played a crucial role in elevating healthcare standards and operational excellence. Joseph holds an MSc in Healthcare Economics, Policy, and Management from the London School of Economics, an MBA, and a Diploma in Management from the Open University. Ms Doreen Heng

Doreen Heng is the Deputy Director of Nursing at Alexandra Hospital, National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore. In addition, she serves as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Nursing Continuing Professional Development Accredited Provider Program Director and NUHS Cluster Faculty Development Co-Lead for Singapore’s Ministry of Health National Faculty Development Committee. She is also Co-Programme Director (Clinical) for the Graduate Certificate in Integrated Health and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore.

With nearly 30 years of experience spanning critical care, health professions education, academia, and healthcare leadership, Doreen has led transformative initiatives in nursing leadership, workforce development, faculty development, and integrated care. Her work focuses on strengthening workforce capability, advancing integrated care, and developing a future-ready healthcare workforce through leadership, faculty development, and workplace learning. She serves on several national committees under Singapore’s Ministry of Health and the Singapore Nursing Board, contributing to the advancement of nursing education and professional standards. Doreen has received multiple awards for innovation and professional excellence and has authored and co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals on nursing leadership, workplace learning, integrated care, and healthcare technology.

Mr Sean Hennessey-Hsieh

As Managing Director of Strategic Ventures for Stanford Medicine, Sean leads a team that incubates and operationalizes strategic priorities in areas including responsible AI in health and medicine, executive education, and global collaborations. Sean first joined Stanford Medicine in 2015 and helped lead the creation of the first Integrated Strategic Plan across the three entities comprising Stanford Medicine: Stanford School of Medicine, Stanford Health Care, and Stanford Children’s Health.

Prior to joining Stanford Medicine, Sean was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in London, where he led consulting engagements with healthcare systems across Europe, particularly the NHS in England. He subsequently worked in strategy at Kaiser Permanente.

Sean earned his A.B. mcl in East Asian Studies at Harvard and M.B.A. at Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He also holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mr Augustin Hérault

Augustin Hérault is Chief of Staff of the French Hospital Federation.

He was previously Director of Medical and Non-Medical Human Resources at the AP-HP’s (Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Paris) Agence des équipements et des produits de santé (AGEPS), and has chaired the AP-HP’s disciplinary boards since 2023. He was previously deputy Human Resources’ Director at Henri Mondor Hospital Group.

As Chief of Staff, he is responsible for developing and implementing the Federation’s strategy under the authority of its President and Chief Executive Officer, and in coordination with all its areas of expertise. He is also responsible for managing public affairs and the FHF’s relations with the public authorities.

Mr Don Hoeler, FACHE

Donald Hoeler, MHA, FACHE, is Head of Global Health Policy and Patient Access Research at Intuitive, where he leads work translating health policy, public funding, and patient access evidence into expanded access to minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery. His team focuses on reducing structural barriers to advanced surgical care across rural and socially vulnerable communities in the United States and internationally.

With more than two decades at Intuitive spanning commercial and policy roles, Don brings deep fluency in both the clinical and business dimensions of surgical technology adoption. His current work centers on the U.S. Rural Health Transformation Program as a replicable model for aligning federal investment with the capital, workforce, and infrastructure barriers that perpetuate rural surgical inequity.

Don is a co-author of research examining the association between surgical robotic availability and open operation rates, and his implementation science work is grounded in established frameworks for evaluating adoption in resource-constrained settings. He holds a Master of Health Administration, is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and is pursuing a Doctor of Health Science. He is motivated by a personal commitment to expanding surgical access in underserved communities.

Mr Jung Jin Hong

Jungjin Hong is an Assistant Manager in the Radiology Nursing Unit at Asan Medical Center, Korea’s largest hospital, ranked 28th globally in Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2026. In 2025, Hong led a quality-improvement initiative that transformed an EMR-based implant alert system into an integrated MR safety management platform for patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and other implants. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across 11 departments, Hong standardized MR safety classifications using international ASTM F2503-13 terminology, consolidated device-specific guidelines in the EMR, and automated electrophysiology order generation for CIED patients. The project was selected as a finalist among the hospital’s top 2025 Process Improvement (PI) initiatives, ultimately receiving the Silver Award after a panel review. Hong also designed and delivered a competency-based education program for the Radiology Nursing Unit, resulting in significant improvements in clinical knowledge and interdepartmental collaboration, with zero MR safety incidents reported following implementation. Hong’s work focuses on translating fragmented, expertise-dependent clinical workflows into standardized, automation-enabled systems that support patient safety at scale.

Ms Emma Hutton

Emma Hutton is the Nurse Manager for the Acute Stroke Unit at Shaikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With over 30 years of nursing experience, Emma has worked in Intensive Care, Nursing Education, and Management in both educational and clinical settings. She has served in large tertiary referral hospitals across Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Emma holds a Master of Nursing from the University of Wollongong (Australia), where she graduated with distinction and received the top graduate award. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing with distinction from The Australian College of Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Sydney, Australia.

Specializing in Neurosciences and Intensive Care, Emma has a strong background in education and management. She has presented on quality improvement and leadership at various conferences, including the SEHA International Nursing Midwifery Allied Health Conference.

Dr Bakr Ismael

Dr. Bakr Sadoon Ismael is a physician, health informatics leader, and healthcare transformation professional based in the United Arab Emirates, currently serving as Projects Manager, Patient Safety Advocacy and Risk Management at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. With a career spanning clinical medicine, digital health, quality improvement, and healthcare governance, Dr. Ismael has developed extensive expertise in advancing patient safety, healthcare innovation, and data-driven decision-making across complex healthcare systems.

In the current role overseeing Patient Safety Advocacy and Risk Management projects, Dr. Ismael leads strategic initiatives focused on strengthening patient safety culture, enhancing healthcare quality, improving risk management practices, and supporting regulatory and organizational transformation. This work includes driving cross-sector collaboration, promoting evidence-based healthcare practices, and leveraging health data to improve clinical outcomes and system performance.

Dr Gretchen Jackson

Gretchen Purcell Jackson is vice president and scientific medical officer at Intuitive and an associate professor of surgery, pediatrics, and biomedical informatics at the Vanderbilt Health. Dr. Jackson is an internationally recognized biomedical informatician and accomplished clinical surgeon with over 30 years of contributions to informatics research and surgical science. She earned her BS in electrical engineering and biological sciences, MD, and PhD in medical information sciences from Stanford University. Before joining Intuitive in 2022, Dr. Jackson spent 12 years as an academic surgeon scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center then served as the chief health and science officer for IBM Watson Health from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Jackson has previously served as president and chair of the board of directors for the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), and she is an elected fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (FACMI) and AMIA (FAMIA). She is also an elected member of the Society for University Surgeons, the Southern Surgical Association, and the American Surgical Association.

Ms Hyunjung Jeon

Hyunjung Jeon is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Emergency Department at Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Republic of Korea. She specializes in emergency and critical care nursing, with a particular focus on patient safety, quality improvement, and early recognition of clinical deterioration. She has led and participated in multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives to enhance emergency department processes and strengthen continuity of care, including the development of standardized clinical protocols and communication systems.

Ms Barbara Walczyk Joers

Barbara Walczyk Joers has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare since late 2013, leading one of the nation’s premier pediatric specialty organizations dedicated to children and young adults with complex, rare and traumatic musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. A mission-driven and collaborative leader, she is focused on transforming child health through highly specialized care, inclusive support systems, and improved access for children with disabilities and medical complexity.

H.E. Mishal Julfar

H.E. Mishal Abdulkarim Julfar is the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), bringing over 25 years of leadership in emergency medical services. A graduate of Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Program, he has guided DCAS to become a global benchmark in pre-hospital ambulance services.

Under his leadership, DCAS significantly enhanced its emergency ambulance response capabilities and operational reach. He played a vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic, representing Dubai Ambulance in the Command and Control Center Committee, helping to shape and implement Dubai’s medical emergency response. He is an active member of both the Event Security Committee and the Dubai Emergency Medicine Strategy Committee, leading the medical planning and coordination for global events such as Expo 2020 and COP28 in collaboration with strategic partners.

Mr. Julfar led Dubai Ambulance’s innovation efforts as head of the Dubai 10X team, positioning the organization at the forefront of future-ready medical response.
