Dr Moustafa Abdelwahab

Dr. Moustafa is a healthcare quality and performance leader with extensive experience in driving system-level improvement initiatives across the UAE and internationally. In his current role at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, he leads key strategic programs including Jawda Automation, Pay-for-Quality models, Hospital Rating Methodology, and Patient Safety Strategy, contributing to enhanced transparency, accountability, and outcomes across the healthcare system.

He has a proven track record in advancing clinical quality and patient safety, having led and supported initiatives across major institutions such as King Faisal Medical Complex, King Abdulaziz Specialty Hospital, Taif University, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Rahba Hospital, and Corniche Hospital.

Dr. Moustafa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental and Oral Surgery and further qualifications including a Fellowship in Family Dentistry, a Diploma in Public Health and Hospital Administration, and a Master’s in Healthcare Quality Management from Alexandria University. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Fellowship in Boston.

Recognized for his leadership, he was selected as a Young Executive Leader (YEL) by the International Hospital Federation (2022) and currently serves as a YEL Alumni Advisor (2025) for the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

Ms Phuong Ngoc Anh Nguyen

Ms. Phuong Ngoc Anh Nguyen, MPH, is Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Group Quality Director of Phuong Chau Healthcare Group, a four-hospital private health system in Vietnam specializing in obstetrics, pediatrics, IVF, and multidisciplinary care, where more than 41,000 babies — over 4,000 of them through IVF — have been born. Under its unified governance model, the Group became the first Accredited JCI Enterprise in Southeast Asia (2024), following three individual JCI Gold Seal accreditations earned across its hospitals since 2022.

With nearly a decade of experience spanning health-systems research, hospital development, and executive leadership, Ms. Phuong directs the Group’s system strategy, quality and accreditation programs, PMO, and data-driven operations. She leads Phuong Chau’s ESG agenda — embedding sustainability into Facility Management and Safety through GRI-aligned Scope 1–3 greenhouse gas accounting, executive-level sustainability governance, renewable energy expansion, and KPI-linked environmental performance — positioning the Group among Vietnam’s pioneering EcoVadis-assessed healthcare organizations.

She began her career in health-systems and precision-medicine research at the Loscalzo Laboratory, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She holds an MPH in Healthcare Management from Boston University and is an alumna of Harvard Medical School’s Leadership in Medicine: Southeast Asia program.

Dr Lia Partakusuma

Dr. Lia Partakusuma is a Clinical Pathologist and healthcare executive with extensive experience in hospital leadership, clinical governance, and laboratory medicine. She earned her medical degree from Universitas Padjadjaran, completed specialist and subspecialist training in Clinical Pathology and Infectious Diseases at Universitas Indonesia, obtained a Master of Management and a Master in Hospital Management, and received a Doctorate in Epidemiology from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

She served as Medical Director of Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) until December 2025, overseeing medical operations and clinical governance across 38 hospitals and 68 clinics. Previously, she held executive leadership positions in major Indonesian Ministry of Health referral hospitals, including Persahabatan Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, and the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita. She currently leads the Master Program in Hospital Management at YARSI University, Jakarta.

Dr. Lia has also served in leadership roles within PERSI, IHF, PDS PATKLIN, WASPALM, ASPaLM, APFCB, IFCC and IACC. Her professional interests include hospital management and governance, healthcare quality, laboratory medicine, infectious diseases, and sustainable healthcare.

Ms Laia Raich

Ms Laia Raich has served as the Head of the Pharmacy Department at the Fundació Sanitària University Hospital of Mollet (FSM) for the past one and a half years, where she is responsible for the overall management of medication care and medication protocols.

She leads a team of 15 professionals and is a senior hospital pharmacist with extensive experience in clinical pharmacy services within hospital settings. Her expertise includes medication management, the development and implementation of clinical protocols, patient safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration. As both a healthcare professional and a manager, she is recognised for her leadership, collaborative approach, and commitment to delivering efficient, patient-centred care.

Dr Aldren Remon

Dr. Aldren Rodriguez Remon, RN, CHA, FANSAP, is the Patient Experience Head and Chair of the Total Quality Management Committee at Saint Louis University–Sacred Heart Medical Center (SLU-SHMC), Baguio City, Philippines, where he leads strategic initiatives in patient experience, quality improvement, healthcare innovation, and organizational excellence. He collaborates closely with hospital leaders to advance patient-centered, future-ready healthcare aligned with international quality and sustainability standards.

An accomplished hospital leader and academic, Dr. Remon serves as a Professor at Saint Louis University’s School of Advanced Studies and the School of Nursing, Allied Health, and Biological Sciences. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) with the distinction of Meritus from Saint Louis University and is completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Management.

Dr. Remon is an International Hospital Federation (IHF) Young Executive Leaders 2024 Alumnus and co-leads SLU-SHMC’s healthcare sustainability initiatives and environmental stewardship into hospital practice. As a speaker, researcher, and healthcare leader, he is passionate about shaping patient-centered, compassionate, and technology-enabled health systems that improve patient outcomes and organizational performance.

Mr Jiau-Ren Tsai

Mr. Jiau-Ren Tsai is Director of the Social Work Office at China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan. He holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Asia University and has expertise in medical social work, social work education, domestic violence pre-trial assessment, protective social work, substance abuse, organ donation, and volunteer services. He also serves as an adjunct industry lecturer in social work. His professional work focuses on integrating medical social work into multidisciplinary healthcare, community partnership, workforce development, and support for vulnerable populations. He has contributed to programmes that strengthen social work capacity, including structured professional advancement and training for hospital social workers, and has engaged in community outreach to support educational and career development for disadvantaged youth. At WHC 2026, he will present China Medical University Hospital’s hub-and-spoke service redesign for remote indigenous regions, linking climate resilience, low-carbon healthcare delivery, and health equity.
