Joint Commission International Leadership Summit
The new quality mandate: Expanding the scope of patient safety

Monday 9 September

Session description:

As Joint Commission International celebrates 25 years of collaborating with global healthcare providers to elevate the standards of care, we invite you to join our global Leadership Summit.  Healthcare leaders from around the world will convene at a special event in conjunction with the International Hospital Federation’s Annual World Hospital Congress. Together, we’ll explore critical topics that redefine quality and safety in healthcare, and recognize organizations committed to progress.

Expanding the Definition of Quality

Hospital leaders are increasingly being asked to examine their role in the larger ecosystem.  Quality and safety are no longer limited to preventing direct harm within the hospital walls. Sustainability, value-based care, equity, and technology are broadening the definition of patient safety and creating new operational and strategic challenges and opportunities. Join us as global patient safety thought leaders report on and examine these critical trends.

Recognizing Excellence

During the summit, hospital leaders from the region and around the world will gather to reflect on and recognize the quality and safety journey of JCI accredited organizations.  Participants will hear from global patient safety thought leaders and one of the first JCI-accredited institutions.

Your Role in Shaping the Future

Join us as we understand and prepare for the coming quality transformation. Your presence is essential to realizing our shared vision: ensuring that all people consistently experience the safest, highest-quality, best-value healthcare across all settings.
