Muna Al Shaqsi is the Director of Nursing at the Royal Hospital, Oman, with 25 years of experience in nursing, including extensive expertise in pediatric critical care and healthcare leadership. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Transformational Coach with a strong passion for workforce development, healthcare innovation, patient safety, and quality improvement. Throughout her career, she has led pioneering initiatives in critical care, rapid response systems, family-centered care, workforce resilience, and digital transformation. Muna is committed to empowering healthcare professionals, fostering resilient teams, and driving sustainable improvements that enhance patient outcomes, staff wellbeing, and organizational performance.

Dr Qasem Almulihi

Dr. Qasem Almulihi, MD, MS, SBEM, EBEEM, is an Acting Consultant in Emergency Medicine and an academic leader. He holds a Master’s degree in Medical Research and is actively engaged in clinical research, quality improvement, and resident education. His work focuses on advancing evidence-based emergency care and improving patient outcomes through research and data-driven practice.

Ms Emma Hutton

Emma Hutton is the Nurse Manager for the Acute Stroke Unit at Shaikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. With over 30 years of nursing experience, Emma has worked in Intensive Care, Nursing Education, and Management in both educational and clinical settings. She has served in large tertiary referral hospitals across Australia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Emma holds a Master of Nursing from the University of Wollongong (Australia), where she graduated with distinction and received the top graduate award. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing with distinction from The Australian College of Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Sydney, Australia.

Specializing in Neurosciences and Intensive Care, Emma has a strong background in education and management. She has presented on quality improvement and leadership at various conferences, including the SEHA International Nursing Midwifery Allied Health Conference.

Emma’s core value is that every human being has the right to the best available healthcare, which can be achieved by focusing on equity, safety, and quality. Her dedication to these principles has driven her to continually strive for excellence in her field.

Ms Adriana Urrego

Ms. Adriana Urrego is a registered nurse who graduated from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She holds a specialization in Quality Management in Healthcare Organizations and an MBA in Organizational Management from the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), Spain.

She has been with Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá for the past 25 years, where she has gained extensive experience in clinical care, including the Obstetric Unit and specialized outpatient services. Over the last decade, Ms. Urrego has focused her career on clinical quality management, serving as a Quality Nurse and leading initiatives in continuous quality improvement, patient safety, and healthcare quality.

Ms. Urrego is also a member of the Shared Governance Research Committee, where she actively contributes to research, innovation, and the advancement of evidence-based nursing practice.

Ms Sui-Hui Yang

Sui-Hui Yang is the Head Nurse and Director of the Postpartum Care Center at Tainan Municipal An-Nan Hospital–China Medical University in Taiwan. She has 26 years of clinical nursing experience, with expertise in maternal and neonatal care, breastfeeding support, nursing education, patient safety, and healthcare quality improvement. She has served as a certified breastfeeding seed instructor in Taiwan since 2014 and as a breastfeeding support group facilitator since 2018. She is dedicated to developing innovative and practical educational strategies that strengthen the care competencies of healthcare professionals and families. Her quality-improvement initiatives focus on breastfeeding support, neonatal skin care, infant hygiene, and emergency preparedness in postpartum care settings, with outcomes presented at national and international healthcare conferences. Through nursing governance, standardized clinical practice, frontline staff empowerment, and continuous outcome monitoring, she strives to advance safe, high-quality, and family-centered maternal and neonatal care.
