Dr Clement Chun-Chih Chiu

Director, Clinical Research Center, Taipei Medical University - Shuang Ho Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan

Dr. Chun-Chih Chiu is a dedicated cardiologist at Shuang Ho Hospital, where he serves as an attending physician in the Department of Cardiology and concurrently as Director of the Clinical Research Center. He specializes in complex cardiovascular interventions, acute myocardial infarction management, pulmonary hypertension, valvular heart disease, renal denervation therapy, and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome care.

Dr. Chiu earned his medical degree from Taipei Medical University and is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the National Taiwan University School of Public Health. His professional journey includes roles as attending physician at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, lecturer at National Yang-Ming University, and ICU physician at Kinmen Hospital.

With extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic teaching, Dr. Chiu is committed to advancing patient care through innovative therapies and evidence-based research. His leadership at the Clinical Trial Center reflects his dedication to bridging clinical expertise with scientific inquiry, ensuring that patients benefit from the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr Florian Eisold

Hospital Management Specialist, Bwzkrhs Koblenz, Germany

Dr. Florian Eisold is a physician and health economist with an LL.M. in Medical Law, working at the intersection of clinical care, hospital management and digital transformation. He currently serves as Deputy Head of Medical Controlling at the German Armed Forces Central Hospital Koblenz, where his responsibilities include hospital financing, regulatory compliance and reimbursement negotiations.

Alongside his professional role, he is pursuing a PhD in Medical Science at Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg. His research examines how health information systems affect clinical workflows, information and system quality, user satisfaction, interprofessional collaboration and workload.

As part of his doctoral research at LMU Munich, conducted at LMU University Hospital, he developed the Impact Monitor for Health Information Systems (IMHIS), a mixed-methods framework for evaluating the real-world effects of digital systems from the perspective of medical professionals. His book, Digital Systems – Real Impact: What Hospital Staff Really Need, was published by Springer Gabler in 2025. His work aims to make digital transformation measurable and actionable, so that digital systems genuinely improve the daily work of medical professionals and ultimately benefit patients.

Dr Seung-Yup “Joshua” Lee

Assistant Professor, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA

Seung-Yup “Joshua” Lee, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Associate Director of the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE). He is affiliated with the Forge AHEAD Center, where his research integrates health services research, machine-learning-driven risk stratification, and community-engaged investigation of health disparities.

Dr. Lee is the recipient of an NIH K01 Career Development Award to develop MEDBRIDGE (MEDication BRIDGE at care transition), an AI-driven risk stratification tool that integrates medication data, clinical factors, and social determinants of health to identify patients with type 2 diabetes at elevated risk of adverse outcomes during post-discharge care transitions. His current work examines how social vulnerability moderates the protective effect of in-hospital medication changes on emergency department return, combining electronic health record analyses with provider and patient interviews across community and academic clinical settings in Alabama’s “Diabetes Belt.”

Beyond his diabetes work, Dr. Lee studies care coordination, predictive analytics for vulnerable populations, and the translation of risk-stratification tools into frontline clinical workflows. He partners with safety-net clinics and health systems to ensure that AI-driven insights inform actionable, community-centered interventions.

Mr De Sheng Ong

Senior Research Assistant, Alexandra Hospital, Singapore

With a professional foundation as a clinical dietitian, De Sheng Ong brings a unique, patient-first perspective to healthcare technology. Currently a Senior Research Assistant at Alexandra Hospital, he specialises in bridging the gap between clinical care and advanced digital solutions.

De Sheng is spearheading two landmark initiatives within Singapore’s healthcare landscape. He serves as the project manager for a national cross-clusters voice AI project leveraging agentic technology to autonomously manage routine patient outreach—such as medication counselling and pre-procedure follow-ups—in a safe and engaging manner. Additionally, he conceptualized and leads the “Smart Meal Tray” proof of concept, which aims to streamline operational and clinical workflows, improve patient safety by ensuring accurate meal delivery, and actively reduce food waste.

His professional journey includes serving as a Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst, where he spearheaded critical Next-Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) go-lives across major health clusters using the Epic Hyperspace platform. De Sheng is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Product Owner who holds a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Quantitative Methods) and a First Class Honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. His work focuses on leveraging scalable technology to optimise healthcare workflows and improve patient outcomes.

Mr Iffat Rafi

Senior Assistant Manager, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore

Mr Iffat Rafi is a healthcare innovation practitioner focused on translating emerging technologies into practical, scalable solutions that improve clinical workflows and patient care. His work spans AI-assisted diagnostics, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and ambient clinical documentation technologies.

He has led the implementation of Singapore’s first AI-assisted mammogram reader, trained more than 100 hospital staff in RPA, and deployed numerous automation solutions to improve operational efficiency. More recently, he spearheaded the large-scale implementation of an ambient AI scribe solution, supporting over 1,800 users and generating more than 32,000 clinical notes. He also co-authored a publication in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR) on the real-world impact of ambient AI documentation, based on an administrator-led time-motion study.
