Engr Victoria Camille Bucoy

Victoria Camille Bucoy is a 24-year-old Environmental Engineer at Zamboanga City Medical Center, where she plays an active role in advancing climate-smart and sustainable healthcare systems. Her work contributes to the development and implementation of environmental policies, strategic plans, and practices focused on water and energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.

As part of the hospital’s Safety and Environment Unit, Camille contributed to the authorship of the institution’s Sustainability and Climate-Smart Policy, a key framework that strengthens ZCMC’s commitment to resilience, environmental stewardship, and long-term sustainability. Her practice champions the integration of circular economy principles into healthcare operations, particularly in sustainable water systems, responsible waste management, and resource recovery initiatives.

She is also actively involved in conducting work environment measurements across hospital facilities to assess occupational and environmental conditions, generating critical data that supports safer and healthier spaces for healthcare workers and patients, while strengthening compliance with safety standards and enhancing resilience to climate-related risks. Working closely with clinical, allied health, administrative units, and external stakeholders, she helps translate sustainability goals into practical and measurable actions. Through her work, Camille continues to support ZCMC’s journey toward becoming a more resilient, adaptive, and people-centered tertiary healthcare institution.

Dr Veronica Duarte

Dr. Verónica Duarte is a Consultant Nephrologist at Fundació Sanitària Mollet, with extensive expertise in peritoneal dialysis and home-based kidney replacement therapies. As the clinical lead for the home dialysis programme, she has played a pivotal role in developing and consolidating a patient-centred model of care that promotes autonomy, quality of life, and clinical excellence. Her leadership has contributed to positioning Fundació Sanitària Mollet as one of Spain’s leading healthcare organisations in the field of home dialysis. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Duarte is strongly committed to environmental sustainability and the transformation of healthcare systems. She has actively contributed to the organisation’s sustainability strategy as an Environmental Ambassador and currently serves as the physician lead for Planetary Health. In this role, she promotes the integration of planetary health principles into clinical practice and organisational decision-making, reinforcing the belief that high-quality patient care and environmental responsibility are complementary goals for the future of healthcare.

Dr John McGraw

John McGraw, Executive Vice President, Products Strategy and New Business, is a leader adept at driving product and service transformation to create value across all phases of the product life cycle. He excels in orchestrating the development and commercialization of early-stage products, while heading organizational metamorphoses for targeted organic expansion and M&A activities. John has significant expertise in strategy, sales, marketing, licensing, acquisitions, and product launches as a senior executive at Canadian health services providers and medical device companies. His strategic guidance extends from academia to major pharmaceutical firms, augmented by extensive diagnostic-imaging experience in the device sector. John’s academic foundation is neuroscience, with an MSc and PhD in Applied Animal Biology from the University of British Columbia, where he had extensive hands-on laboratory research experience, reinforcing his ability to drive innovation and excellence from benchtop to the health care market.

Mr Abdur Rauf

Abdur Rauf is a professional engineer, researcher, and healthcare innovator specializing in the intersection of Healthcare 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, and digital transformation. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Multi Dynamic Solutions, a firm dedicated to driving tech-enabled modernization and operational excellence across complex industries.

As a PhD Scholar in Engineering Management at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), his research focuses on using Sustainable Lean Six Sigma frameworks and the DMAIC cycle to optimize healthcare systems, mitigate waste, and improve patient safety, particularly in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

An alumnus of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Young Executive Leaders program, Abdur Rauf actively contributes to global health policy networks and serves as an alumni mentor for international healthcare safety initiatives. He is also a co-developer of LifePulse, an innovative medical record application designed to streamline digital health infrastructure. A frequent speaker at global clinical summits and congresses, he is dedicated to bridging the gap between advanced engineering concepts and data-driven policymaking to build resilient, equitable healthcare systems worldwide.

Engr Safeyah Salem Al Matroshi

Safeyah Al Matroshi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the College of Engineering at United Arab Emirates University in 2008. In 2009, she joined Emirates Health Services as a Maintenance Engineer at Dibba Hospital, where she has built her career through dedication, leadership, and continuous professional development.

She currently serves as the Head of the Engineering Services and Maintenance Department at Dibba Hospital. In addition to this role, she chairs the Facility Management and Safety Committee and serves as a member of the Disaster Management Committee, contributing to the hospital’s operational excellence, safety, and emergency preparedness.

Safeyah is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management, further strengthening her expertise in sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and resource management. Her academic pursuits complement her professional responsibilities by enabling her to implement sustainable engineering solutions and promote environmentally responsible practices within healthcare facilities.

Mr Samuel Tang

Samuel Tang is a Manager at Alexandra Hospital, specialising in Healthcare Sustainability, Environment Health and Workplace safety. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible healthcare environment, supporting both staff well-being and patient care outcomes.

Recognised for his analytical approach and commitment to continous improvement, Samuel actively contributes to building a resilient healthcare system that prioritises environmental stewardship and implementation of eco-friendly practices, regulatory compliance and risk management.
