Plenary session 1: Contemporary leadership: For the challenges of today… and tomorrow Changes impacting modern healthcare service delivery are rapid and significant. In response, leadership styles and theories are evolving. Transformational leadership, servant leadership, LMX, and authentic leadership have merged into “contemporary leadership”. This approach is founded on collaboration – the best ideas shape strategy, and problem-solving involves teamwork. In this session, learn more about this new leadership model. Plenary session 2: Employee wellbeing: Leading with our people as a priority Employee wellbeing is a hot topic across industries around the world, and particularly in healthcare. The pace of change in the sector, and the consequences of the pandemic, demand that leaders increase focus on healthcare providers and caregivers. More than ever, we must ensure that our people are able to meet the needs of our patients. Employee wellbeing is now a foundation for high-performing organizations – and should be in every leader's strategy. Wellbeing goes beyond job satisfaction and includes promoting work-life balance, creating a positive culture, physical and mental wellness, and employee engagement. This session will explore various solutions that organizations from around the world have undertaken to build resilience and sustainability into our workforce.
