Time: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Venue: Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (Room TBC)

Hospitals are an integral part of the UHC and PHC agenda as health care provider, places for training and research, and a concentration of key resources. To achieve the full potential and accelerate progress towards UHC and PHC, hospitals will be called to transform from inside and to contribute to health system reorientation. Vast international experience demonstrate that this is possible and that it works in a variety of country contexts.

The World Health Organization’s Framework on integrated people-centered health services, along with WHO’s renewed commitment to on primary health care (Astana Declaration) include a transformative vision for hospitals.

Please join us to share your views on hospital sector role in UHC and PHC, to exchange on transformative initiatives, and get feedback from peers on your improvement project. Also, take an active role in co-developing WHO’s “Fast forward initiative for community- and person-centered hospitals and health services” and be an early champion for this emerging Coalition of Partners.
