Prof. Whiejong Han

Professor Whiejong Han is a Chair of Department of Global Health and Disease Control at the Graduate School of Public Health, Yonsei University, Korea. He also serves as the Director of the Center for International Development at Yonsei University Health System. His academic and professional expertise spans healthcare management, health systems strengthening, global health security and international development cooperation.

Professor Han earned his academic training in Healthcare Administration (Ph.D.) and Economics (M.A.), and has devoted his career to advancing health system performance, healthcare leadership, and capacity building in both Korea and developing countries. He is actively involved in educating future global health professionals and promoting international cooperation to address emerging public health challenges. With his expertise, he has led numerous international health projects funded by governments and development partners, particularly in the areas of health workforce development and health system enhancement.

As an educator, researcher, and consultant, he has worked extensively with healthcare institutions, government agencies, and international organizations to promote effective healthcare management and sustainable health development. Through his professional activities, Professor Han has contributed significantly to advancing global health education and strengthening healthcare system worldwide.

Ms Kyung Eun Lee

Dr Sami Al Farsi

Dr. Sami Al Farsi is a Senior Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and currently serves as the Director General of the National Center for Women and Children’s Health at the Ministry of Health in Oman.

He graduated from medical school in 1997 and joined the Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health, in 1999 as a pediatric resident. He subsequently pursued advanced training in Canada, completing a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and a fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care at the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
Dr. Al Farsi worked as a pediatric emergency physician and pediatric intensivist. In 2015, he was appointed Director of the Child Health Department at the Royal Hospital.

In 2022, he was appointed Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Hospital, Oman’s apex tertiary referral center. Since March 2025, he has been serving as Director General of the National Center for Women and Children’s Health at the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Al Farsi actively contributes to several national committees. Internationally, he has been a member of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) Governing Council since January 2023 and serves on the Audit and Finance Committee.

Dr Natalia Allué

Dr. Natalia Allué is a healthcare executive with extensive experience in hospital management, healthcare leadership, and organizational transformation. Her professional interests include healthcare transformation, organizational innovation, quality improvement, digital health, and environmental sustainability. Abdulateef is the General Director for the General Directorate of Organizational Excellence in Ministry of Health.

He worked as the Assistant of General Director for General Directorate of Hospital Affairs for good time to build up Wazen Program and Adapt the best practices for Hospital Commissioning in collaboration with Engineering Deputyship and Cluster Leaders and Regional Directorates 2022.

He has different experiences in both governmental and private healthcare Institutions and hospitals as junior and senior staff until reach to an executive leader positions for the last 23 years. His career was started in National Guard Hospital, Security Forces Hospital, then moved to King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz University Hospital at Princess Norah University, in addition to he has a good experience in Private hospitals and appointed in different positions like Quality Director, Pharmacy Director and Hospital CEO. He used to be a CBAHI Surveyor for more 10 years, and currently he is CHI Surveyor for Healthcare Institutions and Insurance Company.

Since starting of COVID-19, he was appointed to be the Follow-up Officer for Field Hospital during COVID 19 and Hajj 2023. Lastly he is the KSA MoH Representative for International Hospital Federation (IHF)

Dr Graccho Alvim brings over 30 years experience to his projects. A wealth of multi national experiece is balanced by a strong Brazilian foundation. As owner of the CITIPA network of Immunotherapy clinics he helps expand access to the latest treatments for rare diseases. He is currently Vice-President of AHERJ (Association of Hospitals of the State of Rio de Janeiro), CEO of GloWe Brazil, Vice-President of the Brazilian Federation of Hospitals and General Secretary of AHOSP (Association of Hospitals and Clinics of the State of São Paulo).

Dr Graccho’s work with the Geneva Sustainability Center builds on his strong belief that we each have something to teach as well as learn, particularly in the rapidly changing world of International healthcare.

H.E. Dr Fayeza Alyafei

Dr. Fayeza Saif Al-Yafei currently serves as the Executive Director of Healthcare Quality Sector in the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi. In addition to her executive role, Dr. Al-Yafei is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, where she contributes to the education and training of future healthcare professionals. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Al-Yafei has dedicated herself to improving healthcare quality and patient safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Her efforts have led to significant improvements in clinical outcomes in several hospitals & ambulatory care settings and have earned multiple international and national awards for the organizations she has worked with. Neveen El-Farra, is Professor of Clinical Medicine, Vice Chair for Inpatient Medicine Services, and Section Chief for Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is a physician leader and educator focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, healthcare quality, and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Dr. El-Farra completed her internship, residency, and chief residency at UCLA. She previously served as Associate Program Director for the UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program and Associate Dean for Curricular Affairs at the David Geffen School of Medicine.
In her current leadership roles, Dr. El-Farra works closely with health system leadership, clinical departments, and divisions across the Department of Medicine to advance excellence in inpatient care delivery. She leads efforts to strengthen patient safety, quality, care coordination, clinical operations, and multidisciplinary collaboration, translating strategic priorities into meaningful improvements in patient care.

Emad Estemalik, MD, MBA serves as Chair of International Business Development for Cleveland Clinic’s International Operations, Section Head for Headache and Facial Pain at the Neurological Institute, and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Judith has a background in nursing, where she specialised in caring for patients with long-term conditions including wound care and she holds qualifications in tissue viability.

Nicola Pinelli is Director of FIASO, the Italian Federation of Healthcare and Hospital Companies. He earned a degree in Economics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2001, later specializing in Health Economics Evaluation at the University of Tor Vergata. He joined FIASO in 2001 as a researcher and was appointed Scientific Coordinator in 2005, Director of Research in 2010, and Director two years later. He has worked on more than fifty research projects on topics including health economics and healthcare company management, procurement of goods and services in healthcare, professional training, HTA, communication and knowledge management, as well as technological and organizational innovation in healthcare. Prof. Eugene Fidelis Soh

Professor Eugene Fidelis Soh is Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Population Health) at NHG Health, Singapore, and Executive Director of the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI). A physician leader with over 25 years in public healthcare, he stewards the health of 1.5 million residents across Central and North Singapore, overseeing population health, primary care, community care and shared clinical services.

From 2015 to 2024, he was Chief Executive Officer of Tan Tock Seng Hospital, transforming it into a digitally enabled “Hospital Without Walls” and delivering the 17-hectare HealthCity Novena Master Plan. TTSH was named Singapore’s Leading Hospital in the World’s Best Smart Hospital Rankings 2023, and received the International Hospital Federation’s Beyond the Call of Duty Award for its pandemic response.

At CHI, Singapore’s largest purpose-built hub for health system transformation, he unites more than 90 partners across health systems, academia, industry and government. In 2023, he brought together hospitals into the Hospitals of Singapore (HOS) Network, hosted by CHI. HOS represents 13 hospitals with over 80 percent of the nation’s hospital beds and is a full member of the Asian Hospital Federation and International Hospital Federation.

Adrian Stanley graduated from Southampton University, UK and completed his early clinical training in Southampton, London and Leicester. He was a British Heart Foundation Junior Fellow before completing his academic and clinical training as a Clinical Lecturer in Medicine. His research interests were focused on vascular biology and clinical hypertension, before developing an interest in medical education.

He achieved his CCST in general internal medicine and clinical pharmacology in 2005.
From 2005 to 2018, he was a consultant physician, medical educator and researcher in Leicester. For the final 6 years, he was the Director for the undergraduate MBChB Clinical Clerkships.

From 2019, Adrian has been in Dubai. Until recently, he was the Clerkship Director at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he led the introduction of the clinical clerkship curriculum and assessment. Since February 2024, he has been the Chief Academic Officer at Mediclinic Middle East.

Mr Richard Stubbs

Richard is Chief Executive of Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber, working alongside the NHS to understand the challenges in delivering patient care, support new innovative ways of working to both improve care and reduce costs, whilst also supporting innovators navigate the complex landscape and helping to create and retain jobs through the economic growth that comes from a vibrant health innovation ecosystem. Richard’s also Chair of the national Health Innovation Network, bringing together all 15 health innovation networks across England to deliver national impact.

He holds several national advisory roles including membership of the NHS Assembly and the NIHR Strategy and Engagement Board, is passionate about driving policy level changes and programmes to accelerate NHS improvement and transformation and has recently been part of the 10 year health plan working group for research, life sciences and innovation supporting the government in building a health service fit for the future.

Richard is a fellow of the Sciana Health Leaders’ Network, which unites senior leaders from diverse European backgrounds to share skills and knowledge, driving change in complex systems and addressing current and future health challenges. He’s also a member of the International Health Federation’s Global Scientific Committee curating the World Hospitals congress.

Dr. P M Uthappa is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist and Group Chief Medical Director at Narayana Health. He earned his MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary, and trained in the UK, where he obtained his MRCP in 1999, CCT in Renal and Internal Medicine in 2008, and FRCP in 2012. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and holds a credential in Hospital Administration from IIM Bangalore.
After 19 years in the UK, including nine as a Consultant in Manchester, he returned to India in 2016 to lead Nephrology Department at Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysore, and in 2021, joined Narayana Health as the Group Chief Medical Director. He has been instrumental in achieving JCI Enterprise Accreditation, and JCI Hospital accreditations, with eight NH hospitals accredited within four months.
Dr. Uthappa drives clinical governance, patient safety, digital transformation, and AI-based innovations across NH’s network of over 50 facilities in India and the Cayman Islands. I am the Economic Affairs Director in the Catalan Hospital, Health and Social Services Association (La Unió), the oldest health and social business organization in Catalonia created in 1975. Currently, more than 100 institutions are part of it that defend a health and social model participated by civil society and based on management autonomy, business behavior and strict ethical conduct.

I represent La Unió internationally in different projects and serve on several Catalan government boards. I led economic analysis projects for the Catalan Health Service and coordinated sustainability initiatives, including a health and climate project with member institutions of La Unió.

Prof. Lee Wallis

Professor Lee Alan Wallis is Lead: Emergency and Critical Care at WHO Headquarters, Geneva. He is based within the Clinical Services and Systems Unit.

Before taking up this post. he was Head of Emergency Medicine for the Western Cape Government, and Professor and Head of the Division of Emergency Medicine at both the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He has over 20 years experience working on emergency care systems in all over the world.

Lee has been president of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, and was Founder and President of the African Federation for Emergency Medicine. He was Editor in Chief of the African Journal of Emergency Medicine, edited several books and has published around 350 journal articles.

Dr Charles Wiener

Charles Wiener, M.D. is President of Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHMI) and Professor of Medicine and Physiology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr Wiener oversees Johns Hopkins Medicine’s international enterprises, developing sustainable, innovative collaborations that raise the standard of health care around the world and providing personalized care for diverse populations. JHMI serves as global ambassador of the Hopkins Medicine mission, leveraging its’extensive knowledge base in medicine, nursing, public health, medical education, research and health care administration to deliver medicine across the globe.

At Johns Hopkins he has won multiple teaching and mentorship awards, and was the Chair of the committee that created the School of Medicine Genes to Society curriculum. Dr. Wiener has authored the last five editions of the Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine Self-Assessment and Board Review, and is the co-host of Harrison’s PodClass.

He is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Washington, Research Fellowship at Hammersmith Hospital, and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Wiener continues to practice clinically in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit.
