Dr Henry Gallardo

Dr Henry Gallardo is Director General of Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá (FSFB), Colombia.
After earning his medical degree he specialized in hospital management and in healthcare administration with an emphasis on social security systems.
Before his current role, Dr Gallardo was the Director of FSFB’s university hospital. He has also worked with Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices & Diagnostics as Health Economics and Reimbursement Director for Latin America and served as Health Director at Fundación Corona.
Dr Gallardo has served on various boards in private companies and is Vice President of the Colombian Hospital Association Board. He is also part of the editorial committee of its journal, Hospitalaria. Throughout his career, Dr Gallardo has lectured on healthcare systems at different universities and has published widely on topics related to the Colombian healthcare sector and its reform.
Dr Gallardo has been a member of the IHF Governing Council since October 2018. He was the IHF Treasurer between February 2022 and October 2023, and was elected as President-Designate in October 2023. He started his mandate as IHF President in November 2025.
