병원 및 보건의료시스템의 최고경영진을 위해 설계된 CEO|COO Boot Camp는 급변하는 글로벌 의료환경에서 전략적 통찰력, 운영 역량, 조직의 성과를 효과적으로 이끌 수 있는 리더십을 함양하도록 돕는 프로그램입니다. CEO의 전사적(Enterprise) 관점과 COO의 실행 중심 역할을 통합하여, 성공적인 조직 운영에 필수적인 리더십, 거버넌스 및 운영상의 핵심 과제를 심도 있게 다룹니다.

실무 중심의 최고경영자급 교육을 통해 참가자는 조직문화와 성과관리, 재무 및 운영 관리, 의료진 및 임상 인력과의 협력 체계 구축, 거버넌스, 이해관계자 관계 관리, 혁신 역량 등을 강화하게 됩니다. 또한 국제적인 시각에서 의료환경을 변화시키고 있는 경제적·정치적·기술적 요인을 분석하고, 복잡한 환경 속에서 조직의 성과를 높이고 지속가능한 성장을 이끌 수 있는 실행 가능한 전략을 제시합니다.

본 Boot Camp는 높은 수준의 신뢰와 자유로운 의견 교환, 경영진 간 심도 있는 네트워킹을 위해 소수의 참가자만을 대상으로 진행됩니다.

본 과정에 참여하면 ACHE(American College of Healthcare Executives) 대면 교육(In-person) 학점 최대 6점을 인정받을 수 있습니다.

  • 데이터 인텔리전스 및 스토리텔링: 수치에서 의사결정으로
  • 운영 리더십: 사람, 우선순위, 성과의 연결
  • 응용 리더십 시나리오.

12:00–13:00 | 네트워킹 오찬

동료 참가자 및 초청 리더들과 교류할 수 있는 기회입니다.

13:00–14:30 | 리더십 여정: CEO 및 COO의 관점에서 본 교훈

Dr Michael Mayo

Executive-in-Residence, Baptist Health System, USA

Michael A. Mayo, DHA, FACHE, is the Executive-in-Residence and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health, the only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit, mission-driven health care system in North Florida. As CEO, Dr Mayo lead a team of more than 13,000 team members and more than 2,000 medical staff members in the delivery of high-quality, coordinated care for every stage of life. Founded in 1955, Baptist Health has evolved into a community-focused, regional health system committed to achieving excellent patient outcomes and helping all people improve their health and well-being.

Dr Mayo has more than 32 years of health care executive experience including as the CEO of Orange Park Medical Center (HCA), CEO of Frankfort Regional Medical Center (HCA), Chief Operating Officer of Memorial Hospital Jacksonville (HCA), and President of Methodist Dallas Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center and the flagship facility of the Methodist Health System. From 1989 to 1999, Dr Mayo held progressive leadership positions with Baptist Health System of Birmingham, Ala., where he first joined as an administrative fellow.

Dr Mayo earned his Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, his Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Texas Woman’s University, and his Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Alabama. He is board-certified in Health Care Management and a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He was elected to the ACHE Board of Governors and served for 2019-2022. Dr Mayo has also served as the ACHE Regent for Florida – Northern and Western; on the Healthcare Executive Editorial Board; and on the Regents Advisory Council. He currently serves as a member of the American Hospital Board of Directors and Chair, of the AHA Regional Policy Board 4 (Southeastern U.S.) and as a member of the Florida Hospital Association Board of Trustees, representing Region 2.

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, Dr Mayo was selected by Florida Trend in the Florida 500 edition as one of the 500 most influential executives in the state. He was also recognized as an Ultimate CEO for 2022 by the Jacksonville Business Journal. In 2023, Dr Mayo was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Healthcare Education & Leadership by Jacksonville University recognizing his contributions to the healthcare industry and academics.

Dr Mayo is an adjunct professor in the MHA Program of the Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr Mayo serves in various community leadership positions, including University of North Florida Dean’s Council, Board of Directors with Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors at Community Hospice & Palliative Care, member of the Jacksonville Civic Council and Rotary Club of Jacksonville.

Ms Carrie Owen Plietz

Group Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Care Delivery, Kaiser Permanente, USA

Carrie Owen Plietz, FACHE, is Group Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of national care delivery for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals. Her previous role was President of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals of Northern California. Owen Plietz joined Kaiser Permanente in November 2020. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she spent nearly 5 years with Wellstar Health System in Atlanta where she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. She previously spent 17 years at Sutter Health, a Northern California regional integrated health care system, serving in multiple executive leadership roles. Owen Plietz previously served as Chair for the American College of Healthcare Executives and she is board certified in health care management as an ACHE fellow.

Dr Michael Ugwueke

President and CEO, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, USA

Michael O. Ugwueke, DHA, FACHE, is president and CEO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee, and Chair-Elect of the ACHE Board of Governors.

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, he has held multiple leadership roles within ACHE, including Governor, Regent-at-Large for District 4, and as a member of multiple committees.

Dr. Ugwueke joined Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in 2007 as system senior vice president/CEO of Methodist South Hospital. He went on to lead both Methodist North and South Hospitals, served as president/COO from 2013 to 2017, and became CEO in 2017. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions with Provena Health, MedStar Health, and Sarasota Memorial Hospital, focusing on operations, strategy, and planning.

He serves on the boards of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the National Civil Rights Museum, and the American Hospital Association, and is immediate past chair of the Tennessee Hospital Association.

Dr. Ugwueke has received numerous honors, including ACHE’s Distinguished Service Award and recognition among Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Minority Executives. He holds a doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Emory University, and a bachelor’s degree from Shaw University.
