Hospital Site Visits

Both site visits will take place on Saturday, 9 November 2019. Site visits are not included in the Congress registration and must be booked and paid for in advance. Slots are very limited. You can sign-up together with your congress registration. Only registered delegates can join the site visits. Deadline of registration for the site visits is on 20 October 2019.

 

Transportation will be arranged and assembly point is at the registration desk. Both groups will depart from Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre at 1:30pm and return to Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre at 4:15pm.

 

SITE VISIT #1: The Royal Hospital

Time: 1:30-4:15pm

Registration cost: US$ 30 (Fees are collected for charity purposes.)

 

The Royal Hospital is owned and administered by the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman. It was established with the aim of providing the highest standard of health care services in Oman and the region.

 

The Royal Hospital is known for its distinguished specialists in various fields and had placed a significant emphasis on delivery of quality health care. With over 950 beds, the Royal Hospital is considered an

important landmark in the health care services of the Sultanate.

 

In addition to the main Hospital, the Royal Hospital hosts various specialized national medical centers that has been developed to focus on various essential areas including: The National Heart Center, The National Oncology Center, The National Diabetes & Endocrine Center, The National Hyperbaric Medicine Center, The National Genetic Center and the National Nuclear Imaging Center.

 

During the hospital tour, you will join a Gemba walk, an essential part of the LEAN management philosophy which the Royal Hospital applies.

SITE VISIT #2: Sultan Qaboos University Hospital

Time: 1:30-4:15pm
